Admission Policy of the Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is the compilation of a broad range of knowledge and technology and has advanced as the engineering that contributes to monozukuri , which has come to be the foundation of manufacturing. These days, society is looking for engineers and researchers who both operate and protect by taking a new look at such themes as harmony with nature, cooperation between man and machines and the efficient utilization of resources and energy to create gthingsh that are beneficial to the social well-being of mankind and enhance the convenience of our lifestyles.

It is because of this that the Department of Engineering has set its goals on doing more than simply convey the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, such as mathematics, natural science, dynamics and design to passive students; our goal is to nurture both technically proficient and socially conscious engineers through a curriculum focused on instilling a body of knowledge that enables comprehensive decision making and responsiveness from a broad perspective along with developing the skills for logical thinking, clear communication and sustainable independent study. Accordingly, through our entrance examinations we seek to identify candidates that have the following disposition and fundamental knowledge.

The number of each item indicates its ranking of importance in the examination.
